JamestownFINDit.com is one of the most active web sites in all of Chautauqua County, receiving thousands of users - many on a daily basis who are searching for local sources to meet their needs using the "Quick Search" feature. This feature is like using an online phone directory or online yellow pages (see the "Quick Search" above, type in what you want to find and then click "FINDit!" - for instance search for pizza - click here for an example).

However, many of the users of JamestownFINDit.com also come to check for movie show times at the local theaters, or to check for local events in the events calendar, or to see the 10-day weather forecast (which are all located on the right-hand-side column of every page). Not to mention that hundreds of local people browse our online interactive forums, where everyone can have their say on local issues, as well as national and international affairs.Most recently re-launched are the FREE online Classified Ads (we provided free classifieds back in 2003 and 2004, but due to inactivity we stopped, only to relaunch in 2006). And in November 2006 we launched our Shop Local ONLINE Shopping Mall - buy online, but from local stores (campaign to ensue later this year)!

JamestownFNDit.com is always looking for ways to assist the community, from sponsoring events (this year the Lucy-Desi Museum, the Fenton Museum, and the Reg Lenna), to providing promotion for local non-profits (such as for the St. Susan Center), to promoting local commerce (hence the over 5,000 local businesses listed for free in our database and accessible from the Quick Search above).

This year we've outdone ourselves with two awesome local commerce-promoting activities. First, in conjunction with other local media groups (like Media One), JamestownFINDit.com is successfully launched an advertising campaign to promote "shopping local" - the Shop Local ONLINE campaign (for details click here). We had nearly 3,000 visitors in the month of December due in part to this campaign (an increase of over 100% over the previous December 2005)! Secondly, the brand new Online Shopping Mall (click here for details) was launched in mid-November 2006 and is expected to explode this coming year (we expect to have over a dozen local online stores by next Christmas 2007).
